2019 Future Scientist International Summer Camp in USTC（4月30日〆）

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a valued partner university of Nagoya University in addition to being one of the leading universities in the field of science in Asia. USTC invites NU undergraduate students to the 2019 USTC Future Scientist International Summer Camp (USTC FSISC) designed for undergraduates majoring in natural sciences and artificial intelligence technology. USTC FSISC will be held from July 1 to 14, 2019.
I. Program description
USTC FSISC aims at welcoming excellent undergraduates all over the world to the campus of USTC in Hefei, Anhui, China for an exceptional summer experiences that combine cutting-edge reports in science and technology advances, hands-on science and technology research experience, together with Chinese culture seminars, field-trips to local cultural sites, and opportunities to collaborate and interact with USTC students.
USTC has been helding "Future Physicist International Summer Camp" (FPISC) and the "Future Chemist/Biologist Summer Camp"(FCISC) annually since 2014, and "Summer Camp on Artificial Intelligence (SCAI)"for undergraduates majoring in AI technologies since 2018. The three camps of FPISC, FCISC and SCAI will each offer 30 slots to excellent international undergraduates. We are thus expecting a totality of 90 international students gathering at USTC at the beginning of July, 2019.

2. Eligibility
Interested applicants are required to comply with the following eligibility:
- Registered full-time at Nagoya university;
- Complete at least one-year undergraduate study at Nagoya university in related discipline
- Academic Excellence with CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of ‘B’ or above
- English Proficiency of TOEFL iBT 85, IELTS (Ac) 6.0 or above, for non-native English speakers only
- Non-Chinese nationality
3. Fellowship, allowance and sponsorship
A. International travel
During the two-week summer camp, each participating student will be provided with the FSISC fellowship to cover their international travel. The FSISC fellowship will provide RMB 4000 for each student enrolled in the schools in Asia.
B. Local living
The expenses of accommodation and insurance for 14 nights (from June 30 to July 14) will be covered by USTC. Each student will be provided with a USTC smart card credited with 500 RMB for local living on the campus of USTC.
For all the applicants , USTC will have primary screening and annouce the results directly.
