 The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a valued partner university of Nagoya University in addition to being one of the leading universities in the field of science in Asia. USTC invites NU undergraduate students to the 2023 USTC Future Scientist Exchange Program (USTC FuSEP) designed for undergraduates majoring in natural sciences and artificial intelligence technology. USTC FuSEP will be held from July 9 to 23, 2023.

1.Program description  

USTC Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) is a pack of incoming programs initiated by USTC with the aim to bring excellent young scientists all over the world together to exchange ideas for solutions to present world challenges through science and technology.

The theme of 2023 FuSEP-International Summer Camp is science and technology for a shared future, covering FIVE sub-camps for different disciplines as follows:

 Physics and nuclear science

 Chemistry and materials science & life science and medicine

 Information science and artificial intelligence 

 Mathematical science 

 Engineering science & fire safety science

During the two-week summer camp, participants could immerse themselves in an unforgettable summer experience of high-quality learning, discussion upon cutting-edge topics, hands-on research experience, tours to top level laboratories and high-tech enterprises and multicultural communications with young people. The program is conducted in English.

2. Eligibility

Interested applicants are required to comply with the following eligibility: 

- Registered full-time at Nagoya university; 

- Complete at least one-year undergraduate study at Nagoya university in related discipline

（Requirements may vary by program)

3. Fellowship, allowance and sponsorship

- Waived tuition and registration fee;

- Travel grant supported by USTC Fellowship (for foreign students only);

- Certificate of Participation;

- Opportunity to receive USTC Transcript on performance-evaluation basis ; International students who want to apply for a short-term USTC internship in future will be given priority for winning "USTC Fellowship" sponsorship if they had both FuSEP Certificate and Transcript. (depending on program)
