The Harbin Institute of Technology Global Summer School (HITGSS) is hosted by the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), and offers international education opportunities to all students worldwide. Over the past decade, this flagship on-campus program has welcomed more than 3,000 students from over 25 countries and regions, providing an excellent platform for academic exchange and international collaboration.For 2026, the program offers 21 cutting-edge academic themes, creating valuable opportunities for students to study, collaborate, and experience academic life in China. 

Program Highlights

◼21 Academic Themes

The program covers areas such as advanced manufacturing, intelligent technologies, aerospace, low-carbon energy, digital economy, life sciences, and more. Programs will run between July 11 and August 1, 2026 (exact dates vary by theme). Participants will focus on one theme for in-depth learning and will receive an official HIT academic transcript upon successful completion.

◼Zero Tuition and Accommodation Fees

Registration, tuition, and accommodation fees are fully waived. Participants only need to cover their international transportation, meals, and personal expenses.

◼Small-Class Learning Experience

Each academic theme admits up to 20 students, ensuring close interaction with professors and a high-quality academic experience.

◼Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

・Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students currently enrolled at universities or higher education institutions

・University faculty members are also welcome to participate

・Proficiency in English (all courses are delivered in English)

・Preference will be given to applicants with an academic background or interest in science and engineering-related fields

Application method for overseas universities:

You may complete and submit the application by themselves. Please also note that in the second section of the application form “Application information”, you should select “Cooperative Colleges” as the reference type, and fill in the name and contact phone number of the home university accurately. For detailed procedures, kindly refer to the attached document.
